By integrating the first amplifier stage with a sintered Ag/AgCl electrode, extremely low-noise measurements free of interference are now possible without any skin preparation. The active electrode is a sensor with a very low output impedance, so all problems with regards to capacitive coupling between the cable and sources of interference, as well as any artifacts by cable and connector movements are completely eliminated. Noise levels as low as the thermal noise level of the electrode impedance (which is the theoretical minimum) are achieved. Active-electrodes offer a solution to all of the problems associated with high electrode impedance and cable shielding.

We offer active-electrodes in several versions to adapt to various needs in EEG, EOG, ECG and EMG:

- Especially developed for mounting in ActiveTwo head-caps – fits in head-cap with special electrode holders.
- Labeled and color-coded for easy channel identification.
- Available either in sets of 32 pin-type active electrodes with a single high-density connector or with individual leads and touch proof connectors.
- Typical configuration is 32 active electrodes on a ribbon cable with a single high-density connector.
- 140 centimeter cable length.
- Fast application time – active electronics eliminate the need to prepare the skin.
- Suitable for all body-surface applications: EEG, EOG, ECG, EMG.
- Easily attached to the skin with electrode paste or double-sided adhesive rings.
- Gel cavity reduces motion artifact and gel drying.
- Labeled and color-coded for easy channel identification.
- Available either in sets of 32 flat-type active electrodes with a single high-density connector or with individual leads and touch proof connectors.
- Typical configuration is individual flat active electrodes, each with an individual lead and a single touch proof connector.

Multi-Contact Ag/AgCl Active Electrode Strips
- Ag/AgCl electrode disc and carbon electrode wire ensures 100% invisibility under X-ray.
- Preamplifier integrated in the end of the strip eliminates interference pickup by connection cable between strip and AD-box.
- Available with 8 (45 mm center distance) or 12 (30 mm center distance) electrodes per strip.
- AD-box processes up to 14 12-contact strips (168 channels) or up to 29 8-contact strips (232 channels) plus 8 extremity electrodes (240 channels). 8- and 12-contact strips can be combined on a custom basis to permit acquisition from up to 8 8-contact strips and 14 12-contact strips (232 channels) plus 8 extremity electrodes (240 channels).
