Featuring an Ultra High Definition 32" 3840x2160 LCD display with wide colour gamut LED backlight and high-bandwidth HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4 and USB Type-C interfaces, the new slim, unibody BOLDscreen 32 UHD design is both easy to install in all MRI environments and compatible with any video source you want to use. For fMRI, iMRI, MRI, or any other in-room application.

BOLDscreen monitors are the only MRI Compatible displays with deterministic timing, integrated calibration and, of course, no interference with the scanner, even when positioned right at the exit of the bore.

Advantages
  • All components use standard computer drivers, easy as plug-and-play
  • Weighs only 9.6 kg (21.2 lb), half the weight of the previous model
  • Causes no RF noise
  • No reduction in signal to noise ratio up to 7T, even when located at the exit of a scanner bore
  • No effect on displayed images during functional or structural scanning
  • Two front-facing cameras allow for integrated patient monitoring
  • Easy Installation: connected and powered by a single Kevlar-like tactical cable
Panel Specifications
  • Dual-edge (left and right) WLED backlit VA LCD panel.
  • Active area: 698.4 x 392.9 mm.
  • Pixel dimensions: 3840 x 2160 (QFHD). Other input signals will be rescaled.
  • Pixel Pitch: 0.181 (H) x 0.181 (V) mm.
  • Native frame rate: 60Hz. Lower input framerates will be resampled.
  • Default peak luminance: 300 cdm-2.
  • Color resolution: 10 bit RGB.
  • Color gamut: 95% of NTSC.
  • Color chromaticities (CIE 1931 x,y):
    • Red: (0.685, 0.310)
    • Green: (0.260, 0.685)
    • Blue: (0.152, 0.055)
    • White: (0.313, 0.329)
  • Contrast ratio 3000:1.
  • Grey-to-grey (GTG) response time: 9.5 ms.
  • Luminance regulation system: sensor measures backlight once per second and
adjusts to maintain output within 2% of set value.
Audio-Visual Hub

Everything you will need for a multi-input video matrix that needs to support fMRI stimulus delivery, entertainment, and real-time video processing for interventional applications. The BOLDscreen AVI Hub is a compact, discrete, single box solution that won't take over the MRI technologist desk.

In a busy MRI suite, everyone needs something different to appear on the display. The BOLDscreen operates with a compact audio-visual hub, that makes it simple to switch between multiple sources at the touch of a button. Source switching can be done without resynching the image seen on the in-room LCD monitor. The hub controls the two way data streams flowing through the BOLDscreen UHD display.

Integrated Wireless Hub

The BOLDscreen UHD in-room display has an integrated wireless hub which supports a new range of synchronized, wireless MRI accessories made exclusively by Cambridge Research Systems. The hub makes it easier than ever to give your participants other devices to interact with inside the bore. With no need to worry about the management of fragile fiber-connected devices, you can relax and focus on getting your participants ready for scanning quicker than ever, knowing that you can rely on getting a robust stream of feedback to your software every time. And just like your TV remote control, our wireless accessories are very low power and do not need frequent recharging.

Wireless Response Box
Starting with an ergonomic, compact hand held four button response box which emulates a USB HID mouse, our tactile, easy to sanitize response devices make it simple to capture behavioral responses that are synchronized to image displayed on the BOLDscreen UHD display and the MRI sequence. The data from the buttons is returned to the stimulus presentation by USB - the wireless response box appears to your computer as a two-button mouse with scroll wheel. Wireless accessories to be available in late 2022.

Components

The following components are included with the main BOLDscreen UHD system:

  • The unibody UHD screen itself
  • AVI hub for A/V control
  • Cabling in requisite lengths for your suite
  • Integrated wireless hub

A common way of installing the system is to use a trolley, such as:

  • Standard trolley, for scanners without cable tracks off the rear of the bore
  • Wide trolley, for spanning cable tracks in scanners such as the Siemens and GE 7T

The screen also has VESA 200x200 mounting points for fixed installations, or overhead suspension systems from third parties
